Believing that Jesus took on all sin through the baptism He received from John and through the cross does not lead us to take sin lightly. Rather, the one who has seen at the cross how heavy sin is cannot rationalize sin. The grace of salvation God has given is not a license to ignore the consequences of sin, but the power that frees us from sin’s rule and enables us to serve God.
